Kathie Folsom grew up in Texas. She was always one who loved to work with people. Her first job was running a concession stand at a roller skating rink at the age of fourteen. Her career path has been wide ranging, which has given her a multitude of skill sets. As a Navy veteran, she worked in the intelligence field as a Cryptologist. This allowed her to live in several countries and experience many different cultures. After leaving military service Kathie continued her love of working with people, using her talents to recruit, train and coordinate volunteers as an Executive Director, with non-profit groups like the American Heart Association and American Cancer Society. In 2001, Kathie joined a technology company as a Contract Manager, which inspired her to start her own business, Proposal Management Solutions.

In 2009, as the economy was struggling, Kathie and her family moved to the north Georgia mountains. In tow was her aging father and late husband, both of whom required full time care. Her focus on caring and serving others needs became a priority. After their passing, she met Joe in 2011. Once again her experience and compassion was called on as a full time

caregiver for Joe's parents, both of whom struggled with chronic diseases, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.

Today, Kathie has joined her husband Joe as a Realtor and partner at Modern Rustic Living. Together, they bring unmatched energy, expertise and focus to help their clients with all their real estate dreams.
